You can delete your SpecSilo account, and the data stored with it, at any time, from the app or by email.
Write to [email protected] from your account’s email address and ask us to delete your account. We process requests within a few business days.
Deleting your account removes your account details (name, email, password), your vehicles and equipment, parts and specs, maintenance and fuel history, reminders, photos, documents, scan data, usage records, and feedback you sent while signed in from our servers. Your account locks right away. After a 30-day grace period we permanently erase it, normally within 7 days after the grace period ends. Changed your mind during the grace period? Email [email protected] and we’ll restore it. After that, deletion is final and cannot be undone.
What we keep: records of store purchases, for accounting, no longer tied to your name or email; crash reports, which never identified you; and copies in server logs and our hosting provider’s automatic backups until they expire. Feedback sent while signed out and website sign-ups are not tied to an account; email us and we’ll delete yours.
Have a SpecSilo Pro subscription? Deleting your account does not cancel it — subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, not by us. Cancel it first in your Apple subscriptions or Google Play subscriptions, or you will keep being charged.
You can delete individual items in SpecSilo without deleting your account: vehicles and equipment, parts and specifications, maintenance and fuel records, photos, receipts, manuals, and other documents.
Cloud copies of items you delete are kept as a safety net and erased when you delete your account.
Data that lives only on your phone (the app’s local database) is removed by the app when you confirm account deletion, or by uninstalling the app. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture of what we store.
