1. What SpecSilo is

SpecSilo is a mobile app for keeping records about the things you own — vehicles, equipment, and appliances — including specifications, parts, maintenance history, fuel records, photos, and documents. The app is provided by Blue Bucket Studio LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("Blue Bucket Studio," "we," "us").

By creating an account or using SpecSilo, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Your account

You must provide a valid email address and keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to use SpecSilo. If you are under 18 (or the age of majority where you live), you may use SpecSilo only with a parent’s or guardian’s permission, and they agree to these terms for you.

3. Your content

Everything you put into SpecSilo — records, photos, documents, notes — is your content. You own it. We claim no rights to it other than the limited right to store it, back it up, sync it between your devices, and process it as needed to provide the app’s features (for example, sending a receipt photo to an AI service when you tap Scan).

You are responsible for your content. You agree not to upload content that:

• you do not have the right to store or copy (for example, someone else’s copyrighted material distributed without permission);
• is illegal, or infringes anyone’s rights;
• contains malicious code.

Your content is private to your account. SpecSilo does not publish, share, or display your content to other users.

4. Copyright complaints (DMCA)

If you believe content stored through SpecSilo infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated copyright agent, Copyright Manager, Blue Bucket Studio LLC, at [email protected] or by mail to the address under Contact. Our Copyright / DMCA Policy at specsilo.io/dmca.html lists exactly what a notice must include and how counter-notices work. We respond as required by law, which may include removing the material and, for repeat infringers, terminating accounts.

5. Not professional advice

SpecSilo’s reminders, predictions, and maintenance suggestions are estimates for your convenience only. They are based on numbers you enter and are not professional mechanical, safety, or maintenance advice. You are solely responsible for the maintenance, repair, and safe operation of your vehicles and equipment. Always follow manufacturer guidance and consult a qualified professional when it matters. AI-scanned data (receipts, manuals, data plates) can contain mistakes — review it before relying on it.

6. SpecSilo Pro subscriptions

SpecSilo is free for two active machines, with everything in them. SpecSilo Pro is an optional subscription, billed monthly or yearly, that keeps every machine you own active and adds more scans each month. The price, the length of the plan, and what Pro includes are shown in the app before you buy.

Billing. Pro is bought through the Apple App Store and charged to your Apple ID, or through Google Play and charged to your Google account, under the store’s terms. We never see your payment card. Buying Pro needs a SpecSilo account, and Pro follows that account to any phone you sign in on.

Automatic renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each month or year unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the current period ends. The store charges the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends. If the price ever changes, the store tells you before it applies, as its rules require.

Managing and cancelling. Manage or cancel Pro in your App Store or Google Play account settings (apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions or play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions). SpecSilo cannot cancel a store subscription for you. When you cancel, Pro stays on until the end of the period you already paid for. Removing the app or deleting your SpecSilo account does not cancel a subscription; cancel it in the store first.

Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their refund policies. We cannot issue refunds for store purchases.

When Pro ends. Nothing you entered is deleted. Your two oldest machines stay active, and any others go on the shelf: you can still read, edit, and export them, and their reminders keep working, but they take no new records until you swap them in or come back to Pro. You can change which two are active: for 14 days after Pro ends you can swap freely, and after that a machine you shelve waits 30 days before it can come back. Your scans go back to the free allowance.

Purchase links. Part-search and store links in the app may be affiliate links that earn us a commission at no extra cost to you.

7. Acceptable use

Do not attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the app or its servers; do not use the app to store or distribute unlawful material; do not resell the service.

8. Service changes and termination

We may add, change, or remove features, and may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You can stop using SpecSilo at any time and may delete your account and cloud data from Settings → Account → Delete Account or by contacting us at [email protected]. We may discontinue the service with reasonable advance notice; your data stays exportable from your device.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

SpecSilo is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages — including damage to vehicles or equipment, missed maintenance, data loss, or lost profits — arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; those limits apply only to the extent permitted where you live.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is material, we will notify you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use SpecSilo after a change means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
